F.A.Q.

Intersecure Group LLC has over 20 years of experience selling vehile insurance to tourists heading to the US, Mexico and/or Canada. Throughout these years we have partnered with insurance companies with a proven track record all of which are authorized, regulated and supervised by their respective government deparments (e.g. National Unity Insurance Company complies with the Texas Department of Insurance).

At a minimum our insurance policies will cover the legal liability of the driver and the vehicle to damage done to a third party (up to the coverage limit). Though, some of our products will offer other types of coverage: medical, theft, etc...

Liability Only Insurance covers damages or injuries you cause to others in a car accident but doesn't cover your own vehicle or injuries. Liability Only coverage does not include theft, vandalism, belongings inside the vehicle, or towing expenses.

Yes, Liability Only Insurance provides protection for bodily injury and property damage caused to others, even if they are driving an uninsured vehicle.

No, the trailer needs its own insurance policy since it´s considered another vehicle, and the contents inside the vehicle are not covered on any policy that is Liability Only Insurance.

No, we currently provide Liability Only coverage for USA and Canada. However, for Mexico's insurance policy, we offer both Liability Only and Comprehensive options.

Please reach out to us directly if you are entering a U.S. state or territory that does appear in our insurance quote page.

No, the current policies that our insurance partners provide are either for the USA only or a combined USA/Canada.

Yes, just send us an email to community@intersecuregroup.com so we can handle the process and send you the endorsed (updated) policy(ies). Please be aware that some changes may incur a cost which will need to be paid for the changes to take effect.

Yes, if you decide to cancel before the policy's start date, you can receive a full refund.

Our refund policy will depend on the insurance company that has emitted the policy. Please refer to our Refund Policies page for more details.

You should choose a port of entry with the same time zone as your initial destination. This ensures that the policy becomes active precisely when you need it, based on the time zone of your entry point.

Each of our Insurance partners have their on turn around times, but usually it takes less than a couple of hours for the policy to be emitted. The policy will then become valid at midnight of the start date (which you specify during the purchase process).

We strongly recommed that you always have a printed copy available in your vehicle, but if you chose not to, then at the very least you should always have a PDF copy easily available on your mobile/tablet/laptop.

In addition to credit card payments, we also accept payments via bank deposit. For your convenience, the necessary bank details for making a deposit will be provided upon request.

If you need an extension equal to the initial period you purchased, we can send you a payment link that will let you purchase another policy with the same information and day length from your existing policy. If you need a different number of days (either more or fewer), you will need to purchase a new policy.

In case of an emergency, all of our insurance policies include the contact details of the Insurance company that emitted your policy. Therefore it is very important to always have access to your insurance policy doument (we recommend that you print it and always have it in your vehicle).
